My current research interests lie in homotopy theory and higher category theory. In particular, I am interested in investigating various models for higher categories and how they interact with the various flavors, and understanding why some models are easier for certain things than others. At the moment I spend a lot of time thinking about the Cosmic Cube.

As an undergraduate, I participated in the SMALL REU under the guidance of Professor Susan Loepp. We published two papers:

(1) Erica Barrett, Emil Graf, S. Loepp, Kimball Strong, Sharon Zhang. Structure of Spectra of Precompletions. Published in Rocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, Vol 50.
(2) Erica Barrett, Emil Graf, S. Loepp, Kimball Strong, Sharon Zhang. Cardinalities of Prime Spectra of Precompletions. Published in AMS CONM issue 773: “Commutative Algebra: 150 Years with Roger and Sylvia Wiegand”
